CERCIDIPHYLLUM JAPONICUM
Grower Notes:

Cercidiphyllum japonicum is commonly called the Katsura Tree. It is a deciduous, single or multi-trunked, understory tree that has a dense, rounded form that is noteworthy for its beautiful form and attractive foliage. Rounded-oval leaves resemble those of a Redbud tree. They emerge reddish purple in spring and age to green with a blue tint in summer, later maturing to shades of yellow, orange and red in fall. The Katsura Tree thrives in rich, moist, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. If you give it some protection from strong winds and hot sun, it will thank you.
